'Imperial parade' join travelers at Hongqiao Airport
YOUNG volunteers dressed up in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) imperial costumes staged a parade at the Terminal 2 Station of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport today to celebrate the coming Spring Festival and to present an unforgettable farewell or welcome to passengers.
More than 30 volunteers from the airport and airliners joined the parade. They dressed up as an emperor, a queen, princes and princesses of Qing Dynasty, sang songs and danced modern dances to add festive atmosphere to the busy airport.
The organizer, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport Company, said the 600–meter long indoor cruises would run between the northern end to the southern end of the terminal. They were scheduled to be staged from 10 am to 11 am and from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm today and tomorrow.
A lot of passengers were attracted by the amazing scene of the parade and took photos with those "imperial nobilities."
