International law students compete in Moot Shanghai

LAW students from 12 countries and regions are in the city to compete in Moot Shanghai 2015, a competition in which they are given mock cases to prosecute and defend.

The fifth annual competition started yesterday and is set to finish on Friday, the Shanghai International Arbitration Center said.

Held by the Shanghai International Arbitration Center, East China University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, the competition features 32 teams from 12 countries and regions.

Peking University, China Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Wuhan University and Jiaotong University are among the domestic schools represented while Loyola University Chicago and National University of Singapore are among the foreign institutions competing for honors.

The final will be on Friday at Shanghai Grand Theater.
