THE Shanghai Association of Interpreters was launched in Shanghai International Studies University yesterday. It aims to promote standards and boost communication between interpreters. It will also host symposiums and competition. Some 97 percent of the association members are overseas returnees aged around 35 years old on average, said an association spokesman.
