Israel Boasts Expertise In Water Technologies
A forum themed "Innovation makes life better? Israel's water technology" was held yesterday at the Israel Pavilion.
It displays the country's advanced technologies in the fields of desalination, water treatment and reclamation, water safety and agricultural water consumption via drip irrigation, an Israeli innovation.
Israel's Minister of National Infrastructures, Uzi Landau, said that with about six decades of experience coping with water scarcity and many years working in the field of renewable energy, Israel is in a unique position to be a world leader in water technologies.
The minister's two-day trip to Shanghai, with a delegation of 13 Israeli water-solution providers, is also an attempt to drum up business with Chinese firms.
Israeli companies can offer many advanced products suitable for the water needs of Chinese companies, such as the desalination of sea water, Landau said.
