Jail for cheese theft

TWO milkmen who stole 10 boxes of cheese from a local dairy company were sentenced to eight months in prison and fined 1,000 yuan (US$158) for theft yesterday in the Xuhui District People's Court. The two thieves said they found the warehouse was left unattended and decided then to steal cheese. They sold the stolen cheese and other food in the storage for nearly 4,800 yuan between last October and November.
