Jailed conman posed as hero cop

A JOBLESS man who pretended he was a policeman was jailed for 5 1/2 years yesterday in Shanghai for swindling 100,000 yuan (US$14,650) from six women after luring some to his bed.

Zhou Ming, 33, hasn't held a job for six years after he injured his leg at work. Since then he spent his time chatting online, pretending to be a police officer injured at work, today's Youth Daily reported.

This way he got to know six young women from August 2007 to July 2009 and convinced four of them to have sex with him before conning the cash from them.
