Jing’an District names top district official after merger

JING’AN District named its top official today after the former administrative region merged with neighboring Zhabei District last month.

An Lusheng, the former Party Secretary of Zhebei District, was named the Party Secretary of the new district, the newly established CPC Jing’an District Standing Committee announced today.

An, 50, a native of east Jiangxi Province, had been the Party Secretary of Zhabei since March. Prior to that, he was the director of the district since August 2013. He is also the former head of the Shanghai Railway Bureau.

Lu Xiaodong, the former governor of Jing’an, was named the deputy Party Secretary of the new district.

Lu, a 55-year-old from Shanghai, has been the deputy Party Secretary of Jing’an since June 2014.

Wang Chunchen, the former deputy Party Secretary of Xuhui District, was also appointed the deputy Party Secretary of Jing’an. He Yiqin, the former disciplinary chief of Jing’an, remains the head of the district commission for discipline inspection.
