Job Opportunities For Expo Workers
OVER 20,000 job seekers, mostly World Expo workers and volunteers, have applied for about 1,300 posts at local state-owned companies through the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion, the pavilion said yesterday as the application process ended.
The 36 state-owned companies that jointly built the pavilion offered the posts, in various positions and at different levels of seniority, for Expo workers and volunteers to thank them for their hard work.
Some of the top positions saw almost 100 people competing for a single job, Jiang Qianqian, a recruitment officer, said.
The companies began selecting candidates on November 4. Some have already launched the first round of interviews.
