Keep calm, keep breathing and take life one day at a time
Nick Vujicic, a world-famous motivational speaker from Australia who was born without arms and legs, made an appearance in Shanghai on Monday and had a talk with Yao Wubin, an aspiring young English translator who has suffered from cerebral palsy from an early age.
Yao told Vujicic that he sometimes lost his temper when other people do not have enough patience with him.
Vujicic was happy to give him a few tips.
Take one day at a time and be thankful for what you have.
Try harder and maybe try some breathing exercises to calm yourself down when people don’t understand you.
It’s always good to express what you’re feeling as best you can.
Vujicic advised Yao to stay focused on what he can do, in this case his English skills, and to believe in himself.
Vujicic, who has been to China more than 30 times, will speak at the city’s Oriental Sports Center in May next year.
