A kite again almost cut power to downtown Shanghai on Wednesday, the city electricity operator said yesterday. The kite twisted on wires in a power station in Pudong on Wednesday afternoon and was later removed by workers, said the authorities.
No damage was caused. Downtown was hit by a sudden power cut last Saturday after three high-tension wires were invaded by a flying kite's string in the Pudong New Area.
