Knifeman attacks sex shop assistant

POLICE are searching for a man who stabbed a shop assistant in a store which sells sexual health products early yesterday morning.
Ni Shenqin, a 31-year-old from Anhui Province, suffered cuts to her face, arms and feet. The suspect ran off empty handed after the incident on Zhengtong Road.
A neighboring shopkeeper heard cries for help about 12:15am and found Ni covered in blood.
She suffered a 15-centimeter cut to her cheek and damaged tendons on her left wrist and right ankle.
She told police that the man, aged about 25, attacked her as she was fetching a sex toy, an inflatable doll, for him.
He had been to the store before to buy other items but couldn't afford the doll.
Yesterday they had settled on a price of 350 yuan (US$51). Before the attack, the man had asked Ni to inflate the doll but Ni declined.
