Laptop couple caught by police

A COUPLE alleged to have stolen computers and laptops worth 900,000 yuan (US$132,750) have been caught, Changning District police said yesterday.
The suspects, once owners of a store in a local computer market, took advantage of a rule in the market that they could get goods before paying for them, police said. The other owners trusted them, police said, but they fled after taking dozens of the computers, laptops or computer components.
