Leisure strip planned

TOURISTS and locals will be able to enjoy a strip along the Huangpu River in the Qiantan area of Pudong that will be reserved exclusively for cyclists and pedestrians, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Planning and Land Resources said on its website. The city is building a new financial zone in the area. It will include multinational firms and an international community.
"The new Qiantan International Business Zone will be eco-friendly and close to people's lives," said Jiang Liang, governor of Pudong New Area.
