Libraries pool resources to win people back

MANY local libraries have formed an alliance to share resources and lure readers back to the library in the age of electronic publishing.
The Pudong Library set up an association with about 60 member organizations, including government archives, publishing houses, school libraries and community libraries. They share books, digital publications and lecturers to improve services.
The association aims to get more libraries into the alliance and draw people away from PCs or TV screens and back to the libraries.
