Lover killed on Valentine's Day

A MAN was detained after he allegedly murdered his girlfriend yesterday in the city's Songjiang District, police said last night. The victim, a 19-year-old woman surnamed Zhou, was found dead in a house in Zhuangjia Village, Jiuting Town, just before noon. The suspect surnamed Zhong, 25, was detained at 4pm. Zhong admitted the crime, saying the two often quarrelled.
Yesterday morning, after another dispute, Zhong killed Zhou, police said. The case was still under investigation last night.
