Malta rich in history

MALTA celebrates its National Pavilion Day today. It is in the Europe Joint Pavilion I in Zone C, near Cyprus, Liechtenstein and San Marino.

To celebrate, folk music from historic Malta, a group of islands in the Mediterranean, will be performed in the Culture Center. Visitors will be greeted by pristine sand under the glass floors and a boulder at the entrance, evoking a feeling for its natural scenery.

The pavilion's theme is "Malta: 8,000 Years - A Life Center."

A popular holiday destination, Malta is known for its world heritage sites reflecting occupation by Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans and others. The pavilion has rich audio-visual exhibitions, mobile booths, sculptures and information on history.
