Man, 62, under probe

POLICE said yesterday that they have launched an investigation after a novel coronavirus pneumonia patient allegedly hid his condition when seeing a doctor.
The 62-year-old man surnamed Li went to Yueyang Hospital in Hongkou District on Wednesday to treat his cough, but didn’t tell doctors he had taken anti-fever drugs before and that he had been required to take home quarantine in another city, officials said yesterday.
Li confessed only when he was asked about his travel history after a lung CT scan hinted at pneumonia. Li was rushed into quarantine and could face a criminal charge of impeding the prevention of infectious diseases.
