Man detained after stabbing

POLICE yesterday detained a man alleged to have stabbed another man in a money dispute.
The 24-year-old victim, surnamed Wang, is in stable condition at a local hospital, police said. The 41-year-old suspect, surnamed Chu, is said to have argued with Wang over a debt in a residential lane in Yangpu District at about 1pm yesterday. Chu stabbed Wang after the victim refused to pay up, said police. The investigation is continuing.
