Man falls to death as he tried to enter home via window

A Shanghai man plunged to his death from an apartment building in Yangpu District this morning, a local website reported.
The man in his 60s was living in a residential complex at 500 Zhengyue Road. Neighbors told Xinmin.cn that the man was trying to climb into his 12-floor apartment through a window because he forgot to take the key.
Police who examined the scene also ruled out homicide as the cause of the man's death.
The mishap occurred around 10am when neighbors heard a loud noise. They then saw the man lying unconscious on the cement floor underneath his apartment window.
The neighbors called the police and the ambulance, but the man was pronounced dead after the ambulance arrived.
