Man goes on drunk drive rampage

A DRUNK driver was caught late yesterday in the city after he crashed with several vehicles, including police cars, and allegedly stole a van during the escape, police said.
No one was reportedly injured in the incident, police said.
The drama happened at 8:25pm on Cao'an Highway in suburban Jiading District, where the car with an Anhui Province plate hit two vehicles at first, local TV news reported.
The driver then took a van in the next lane allegedly using a knife and fled, said the news report.
The driver hit another six vehicles, including two police cars chasing him, as he was trying to escape, according to the report.
The driver was apprehended on Boyuan Road soon after and was taken to a local police station for questioning, officers said.
