Man held as mistress found dead

A MAN has been detained for allegedly murdering his mistress, Shanghai police announced yesterday.
A part of a human body was found in a public toilet on October 25 in suburban Haitang Village, Heqing Town in the Pudong New Area, police said.
The victim, not identified, was a female in her 40s and about 1.65 meters tall, according to a police post on its microblog on October 28.
Detectives checked more than 1,500 households in the village and surrounding area and identified the main suspect as a man surnamed Huang from Anhui Province, police said.
Huang allegedly killed the victim, who was said to be his mistress, because he feared their relationship would be exposed, police said.
Huang fled to Anhui after killing woman and was caught on October 30 in the province's Suzhou City, police said.
