Man killed, 2 injured in fight

A man was killed and another two were injured in a fight with a man in a downtown company in Putuo District yesterday, city police said.
The suspect, surnamed Chen, has been caught, police said, adding that the two injured men were in stable condition in a local hospital.
The homicide happened about noon yesterday at the complex of Shanghai Urban Construction Municipal Engineering Co on Beishi Road, police said. Witnesses described seeing the suspect chase a man running toward the company gate and stab the victim in the chest with a knife.
"The man shouted for help but soon lay down on the ground, unconscious," said a witness.
Company security guards tried to stop the suspect by dousing him with water.
"The man did not run away afterwards. He just stayed there until police officers came," said a security guard.
The victim, a 32-year-old man surnamed Xu, was dead at the scene, police said.
Police said they found that the suspect, a migrant worker, first had a quarrel with three company employees, which escalated into a fight and the three being stabbed. It was not clear if the two injured victims were stabbed before the fatal victim.
