Mementos are real gems
ADD diamonds to the growing shelf of World Expo souvenirs.
The Diamond Administration of China said yesterday that diamonds and precious metal products will join the souvenir ranks, in the form of blunt diamonds, jewelry and artistic crafts with diamonds.
An auction on the products will be held early next month at the new China Diamond Trade Center in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area.
Also, a major Expo souvenir outlet will open next week on Nanjing Road E. in the Shanghai No. 1 Department Store.
The outlet will be China's biggest, with more than 3,000 kinds of Expo keepsakes.
