Microblog appeal child found dead

SHANGHAI police said yesterday that the body of a 20-month-old boy who went missing on Friday has been found in a river near his home in Huinan Township.
His family had reported the child missing and posted an appeal on Weibo microblog for volunteers to help in a search. Officers found the boy's body in a nearby river around noon yesterday. Preliminary investigations suggested that he had drowned.
