Minhang completes 15m yuan revamp of parks

MINHANG District government added exercise equipment and increased greenery in 19 parks in a 15-million-yuan (US$2.2 million) facelift program last year.

Minhang Greenery and Urban Sanitation Administrative Bureau created corners for bird-keepers as well as adding shelters, tables, chairs and playgrounds, bureau officials told today's Shanghai Morning Post.

It also added 82 sets of exercise equipment for residents to keep fit.

Also upgraded were toilets, green space and trash cans, bureau officials said.
