Monks hold rite for blaze victims
MONKS from the Jing'an Temple held a rite yesterday for victims of the Jiaozhou Road inferno on November 15 last year, in accordance with Chinese tradition.
More than 500 people, including monks, local Buddhists, relatives of the victims and other residents affected by the accident, took part in the ceremony. Some relatives of victims struck a bell in the temple in turn and wrote down blessings at the beginning of the rite to wish those who died to rest in peace.
