HEALTH authorities in Shanghai yesterday issued a mosquito alert, following a dengue fever outbreak in Guangdong Province.
Weather conditions over the coming weeks will be favorable for the growth of mosquito larva, so people should keep their homes clean. When outside, they should apply bug spray to exposed areas of their bodies, and try to avoid grassy and wooded areas. Anyone who experiences a fever after being bitten by a mosquito should seek medical attention.
