Mother and daughter killed by wall

A mother and daughter died yesterday after a gale blew down a wall on a construction site in Baoshan District.
The mother, 43, and her daughter in her 20s were walking on the sideway at Zhenhua Road at about 5:15pm when the 3-meter high concrete brick wall fell down and buried them, Xinmin.net reported.
Firemen rushed to the site minutes later and rushed them to Tongji Hospital for treatment. They were confirmed dead in hospital about one hour later.
Loose foundation after nearly one month solid rain might have caused the accident, the report quoted a meteorological expert as saying.
