Multilingual virus guide now available online
A guide on the prevention and treatment of the novel coronavirus released by Zhongshan Hospital has been translated into several foreign languages, including English, Spanish and French, and posted online for free download, the hospital said.
A release ceremony for the guide was held on Wednesday night as part of an online forum, with speeches given on topics such as the growth of coronavirus cases, strategies on prevention and control as well as treatment for coronavirus patients.
Experts from more than 10 countries and regions participated in the forum, with nearly 20,000 people watching.
Qin Jing, deputy director of the Shanghai Health Commission, said the guide, which will benefit medical institutions and patients around the world, is now available on the hospital鈥檚 official website, the site of Asian Medical Week and several overseas free download sites.
The guide focuses on the hospital鈥檚 measures to combat the epidemic, covering emergency treatment, fever clinic and management of outpatient departments. Details are given on how the hospital balances routine work with fighting the coronavirus.
During the forum, experts and health officials from home and abroad shared their experiences on fighting the coronavirus and discussed issues such as the global spread of the epidemic as well as the arrangement of epidemic prevention and control work.
