New ramp links Beidi Road with Middle Ring Road

A ramp of Beihong Road Overpass opened to traffic today, connecting Beidi Road with the Middle Ring Road.
The ramp, from west to south, is the first connected ramp of the overpass, the city’s transportation commission said today.
With the new ramp, drivers from Beidi Road will no longer have to take a detour to the Middle Ring Road, which will ease traffic pressure on nearby roads including Tianshan Road and Xianxia Road, according to the authority.
The overpass is also an important section of Beiheng Passage, a 19.1-kilometer road linking Changning, Putuo, Jing’an, Huangpu, Hongkou and Yangpu districts.
