New role for Yao

FORMER NBA star Yao Ming yesterday was elected a new member of the city's top political advisory body. He will carry the same duties as the other delegates to raise suggestions to the city government for social development and improvement of urban lives. Yao owns the Shanghai Sharks Basketball Club.
