Night cruise launched

A new cruise route giving visitors a view of the music fountain that featured at the Expo's opening ceremony and the light shows of most Expo pavilions starts on Huangpu River today.

Visitors can take the cruise at the M2 water gate near the Japan Pavilion at 7:15pm, 7:45pm and 8:15pm every day for 30 yuan per person.

The ship goes to the Lupu Bridge and turns back along the Puxi Expo site for 40 minutes. Visitors will be able to see the Culture Center, China Pavilion, Japan and Saudi pavilions and all 18 corporate pavilions. The music fountain at Celebration Square will be in action as they pass by.

The current cruise, which begins from the M2 and M3 water gates and ends at the Shiliupu Dock near the Bund attracts about 400 visitors every night.

Meanwhile, the H2 and H4 ferry routes will close at 7pm from today.
