No change in weekly off
THE weekly off during the third China International Import Expo will not be adjusted like in previous editions, local authorities said yesterday.
In 2019, the opening day — November 5, a Tuesday, and November 4 — were declared rest days and adjusted with the Saturday before and after the event to relieve traffic pressure.
But that won’t be the case this year as the visitor volume has been restricted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The entry times for visitors will be limited as well. Reservation to the venue is required, and the capacity of the exhibition halls will be limited to 30 percent of the maximum. Attendee flows therefore are unlikely to have an impact on traffic.
