CITY police yesterday dismissed an online post that a young French woman was doped by a strange aroma and robbed while riding a taxi. A man claimed on a microblog yesterday that his friend lost consciousness after sensing an aroma in a local cab.
She came around later to find herself lying in the street with all her possessions gone. Police said that they never received a report and tried to contact the tipster for further information but got no feedback. The man deleted his posting soon.
