Oil leak delays Asiana flight from Shanghai

AN oil leak was found on the undercarriage of an Asiana Airlines aircraft at Pudong airport around noon today shortly before it was about to take off for South Korea.

The Airbus 330-300 was pulled back from the runway for repairs, while Flight OZ362 from Pudong to Inchon was delayed by about five hours, passengers said.

The flight was due to take off at 12:10pm and land at 2:40pm, but passengers were asked to get off the plane at around 1:30pm, a passenger said.

"Passengers look calm but frankly we feel a bit nervous," she said. They were asked to board again at around 5pm.

On Saturday, an Asiana Airlines flight crash landed in San Francisco, killing two Chinese students.
