Oil's 4D effects curtailed

THE Oil Pavilion, now one of the Expo's top attractions, has stopped some special effects with its popular 4D movie after some people reported they felt uneasy after watching it.

One of the effects that has been stopped is during a scene when a car breaks down. As the car breaks down, the cinema's seats jerk to make people feel like they are actually in the vehicle.

A pavilion guide said some people have been leaving halfway through the movie because they felt uncomfortable when the seats moved suddenly.

The pavilion manager said that most of the movie will screen as usual so future visitors shouldn't feel like they are missing out on anything.

The movie, a 3D film projected on a huge wraparound screen tells the story of oil and features 4D effects like a water spray and stuff creeping on the seats when a snake or crocodile is ready to attack.

The movie was made by the same group that created the effects for the 3D sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar."

The Oil Pavilion has replaced the Saudi Arabia Pavilion as the Expo's most popular attraction mainly because of the movie. People now usually have to wait for more than five hours to enter the Oil Pavilion.
