Pavilion wants photos, stories from everyman

GOT photos to share? You can show them off, along with paintings and stories, in the Citizen's Initiative Pavilion at the World Expo.

Anyone may link a camera to computers in the pavilion to upload photos of urban scenes or the Expo site. The photos will be displayed on a screen of the pavilion.

Photos may also be sent to www.expo2010-gzcy.cn, the pavilion Website, or via smart phones at 1065812010101300 until the end of October, the Expo closing.

People can see their work in the pavilion by entering their mobile phone number.

Visitors can also send paintings on six themes: warm family, harmonious community, charming city, energetic campus, healthy life and sincere friendship. People can take photos of their works or paint by computer.

In another event of the pavilion, visitors can add to stories about Haibao, the Expo mascot, to be started by celebrities. Each piece of the story should be shorter than 500 words.

Visitors can also apply to perform in the pavilion. Special skills and talents are among the most welcome. Performances other than singing, dance or reciting are also accepted for the section called "Show Room." Applicants can send forms to gongzhong@vip.163.com.

The 1,200-square-meter pavilion is in the Theme Pavilions at Pudong side of the Expo site.
