SHANGHAI has entered the peak season for diseases like flu and chickenpox, besides the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, that requires people to maintain heightened awareness regarding infectious disease prevention and control, the Shanghai Health Promotion Center said yesterday.
Proper personal hygiene, wearing a mask in public places, and receiving vaccination are all effective measures.
With the arrival of Christmas and the New Year, the health officials reiterated the importance of reduced gatherings for COVID-19 prevention and control.
