QINGPU police yesterday released the numbers of the bus lines where pickpockets most frequently operate. The two bus lines where most cases took place are Qingpu bus No.3 and No.9. These link Qingpu District with other outer districts, including Jiading, Songjiang and Minhang, and account for more cases than bus lines within Qingpu District.
The report showed that most cases happened during rush hour. Summer is also a peak time as people wear less, making it easier for thieves to get at their possessions.
