Plate price set for new record

LICENSE plate prices are predicted by insiders to hit a new record high this month. The auction will be held on April 16 and the quota will be 8,000, the same as last month.
Last month, the lowest price and the average price were 46,200 yuan (US$7,053) and 46,657 yuan respectively, a new record since 2008, when the auction started.
