Police arrest teacher over molestation

A kindergarten teacher in Qingpu District has been arrested on suspicion of child molestation, the district education bureau said yesterday.

The move follows accusations by parents concerning a male teacher at the Shanghai Qingpu Experimental Kindergarten.

Head staff of the kindergarten have been removed from their posts, according to the Qingpu District Education Bureau.

They will also be held responsible, the bureau said.

Investigations are continuing.
