FOUR people have been detained on criminal charges after police raided a gambling parlor in the city's Putuo District on Monday, capturing 47 gamblers, police said today.
The officers also seized more than 100,000 yuan (US$15,827) in the underground gambling parlor on Dingbian Road.
Four gamblers were detained on criminal charges, nine were fined and 34 were given administrative detention, police said.
