Police catch suspect after 3 years on run
PUDONG New Area police said -yesterday that they have detained a suspect involved in a fatal traffic accident three years ago.
The accident happened in 2007, when a motor-tricycle toppled on Hunan Highway. A passenger was killed and the suspect, surnamed Luo was the driver. He fled the city and was caught on October 30 this year in Hunan Province, police said.
Doctors nail surgery
A construction worker who was shot in the back with a nail gun had the 10-centimeter steel nail removed at Shanghai No. 10 People's Hospital, officials said yesterday. The man identified as Zhao was shot by accident from 1 meter away and the entire nail entered his body.

Pudong International Airport has handled more than 40 million passengers this year, breaking its previous record and putting it in the top 20 busiest airports in the world, local airport operator said yesterday.
