SHANGHAI residents may soon receive a leaflet from local police to educate them about telecommunications fraud, police said yesterday.
The leaflet lists some of the main types of scams telecom fraudsters use: lottery winnings, unspecific transfer requests, unsecured loans, accidents involving friends, children being kidnapped, credit card overdrafts and extremely low prices on products.
