PUTUO Ditrict police detained a pickpocket surnamed Mo who snatched more than 60,000 yuan (US$8,780) from two pedestrians after they withdrew the cash from ATMs, police said yesterday.
The thief, who rode a motor scooter, said he had also snatched gold necklaces from victims in the district.
