A METAL processing factory in Baoshan District has been ordered to stop discharging waste into a nearby river after it was found responsible for the death of large numbers of fish, the Baoshan environmental protection authorities said yesterday.
The factory discharged waste containing industrial oil into the river through rainwater pipes. The cleanup is underway as are tests on water quality.
