Prostitute theft ends in jail

A MAN surnamed Hou was sentenced to 22 months in prison yesterday by the Jiading District People's Court for robbing a prostitute.
Hou was on his way to Yunnan Province last September when he was robbed of more than 2,000 yuan (US$292) -- all his cash. On September 24, Hou passed a hair salon and saw the prostitute surnamed Li working inside. Hou pretended to be a client but instead stole Li's money and her mobile phone. Li shouted for help and Hou was caught by Li's colleagues.
