Sanitation workers in Pudong are geared up to ensure a superb environment for the second CIIE. On the 1.5-kilometer riverfront of Binjiang Avenue from Lujiazui Road W. to Pudong Road S., the number of sanitation workers will be increased to 64 from October 10 for the CIIE from the current 34.
The goal is that any trash will be removed within 10 minutes, with no dust on guardrails and benches. Every sanitation worker has more than 20 tools.
“Trash inside greenery can be difficult to reach, and these tools help a lot,” said Huang Xinsheng, a sanitation worker who uses a special blade to remove chewing gum.
