Pudong police probe death of newborn baby

A dead newborn was found this morning in the shrubs of a residential complex in Pudong District and police are now probing the case, xinmin.cn reported.
A sanitation worker in the Juye Residential Complex said she saw "something wrapped in a bundle of clothes" in the shrubs around 6am this morning.
She walked closer and found a newborn baby who was already breathless and appeared dumped a short while ago. She alarmed police and the infant was pronounced dead by arriving medics.
Police have launched an investigation into the baby's death, the report said.
