Putuo shooting injures two

TWO men were injured, one seriously, after being shot in a residential complex in Putuo District at noon.

Police are investigating and chasing the gunmen, Xinmin.cn reported.

Police have cordoned off an area in the complex at No.822 on Changshou Road, which is 10 minutes' walk from Shanghai Public Security Bureau.

Witnesses said the shooting happened at around 12.30pm when a group of men began arguing. One man from a group of five drew a gun and shot at the other two.

One of the victims was seriously injured and fell to the ground bleeding heavily. The other was shot in the neck but fled the scene.

The gunman and his four friends escaped in a car with Jiangsu Province number plates.

The seriously injured man is being treated at Huadong Hospital. He got shot in head.
